Gold & Silversmith Jewellery Designers Since 1919

Starting from 1919 Amir (Agha) Zada came from Iran to begin his life in Egypt by opening a shop in Khan El Khalily, specializing in precious stones.
In 1930, his son Ali (Agha) Zada followed his father’s footsteps. He also opened his shop in Khan El Khalily, but only to change his father’s specialty from precious stones to even more delicate diamonds.
Next in line to carry out this family tradition on was Amir Mohammed Ali Amir Zada (the grandson), who had first started as a silversmith in 1967 at the age of 23, locating his shop next to the first shop (which belonged to the great Amir [Agha] Zada). However, it wasn’t until the opening of his new shop in Dokki in 1987 that Amir designed, combined and mastered his skills to include not only silver but also gold and diamonds as well.
This family tradition has been witnessed by three generations & is now maintained through the fourth generation by Waleed & Kamal Amir Mohammed Ali Amir Zada. Hopefully the “Agha” name will be passed on to the fifth generation (their children who are yet to come) enabling an eternal “Agha” name!
